Hello all, my name is Drew and i'm new to this site, i hope i'm posting correctly as i have never done this before :) i have a Bedford CF camper van that i bought out of South Australia. Super happy with it and already done a few road trips. Since buying it i've changed it to an automatic (trimatic attached to a holden red 186 engine), electronic ignition, replaced alternator, shock absorbers and changed to halogen headlights. i've got a few questions but not sure how to start a new thread. Main question i have is, has anyone ever changed the axle and front brakes from a dual wheeler to a normal short wheelbase CF. Cheers, Drew

To start a new topic...click on the word forum under your picture at the top of the page.
Then click on a topic thats relavent or close to yours...then click on new topic...
Create a heading
And away you go....
Ahhh your questions seems like theres two differnt vans...
Yes bugas have changed front brakes on vans to dics....
And yes also...dual wheels to single axel on rear of a lwb van
Use the search engine top right hand corner to search the forum
Hope this helps...and there will be others who will offer advise

Hi, as this section suggests - I'm new to the BUGA. I'm actually looking for a CF Bedford in reasonably good condition - anyone out there have suggestions - I'm just north of Brisbane.
Thanks

Hi all, I'm Stevo I have a 1976 Millard Starcraft on a CF350 long wheelbase.
Just fitted a 9" with Bedford brakes. Like those 70mm shoes. Has the 202 traumatic in it.
Looking to fit a bigger engine, but not sure what. I favor an inline six.
4.1 ford, 4sp auto maybe, but the sump is not positioned well.
Looking forward to learning from somebody that's been down this road before.

have a look at the cummings diesel     https://cumminsengines.com/uploads/docs/4971326.pdf   I actually thinking of another change they will bolt up to most transmissions so when you order it tell em what transmission you have etc worth a thought  can get very good economy too
