Look what I just bought... OPSM LWB Van
« on: February 21, 2015, 12:42:57 PM »
Hello Bedford Buddies!!

I've been a Bedford Van fan and a member on this site for a while, keeping an eye on the market with the plan of one day owning a Bedford as a race car tow van and camper...

Then this morning I get to work and see the OPSM LWB Bedford for sale, within the hour my deposit was down and I'll be collecting it from Melbourne in 2 weeks time... you little beauty... or actually, you big beauty!!

http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/footscray/cars-vans-utes/o-p-s-m-ice-cream-bedford-van-very-famous-decked-out-immaculate/1071354748

I would actually prefer a SWB, if anyone has a tidy example and wants to upgrade to a very good condition LWB then I'm keen to talk.

If not, then I'm looking forward to carrying out a simple camper conversion and hitting the road, I can't wait to go cruising in my beautiful blue Bedford!

Nifty that is one tidy unit and I would be keeping it as it would be a great tow / camper with plenty of room plus you can stand inside which is great bonus. Well done with the find. 😃

Hey all,

I've decided to sell my van, info in the For Sale section... grab yourselves a bargain!

I flew down to Melbourne to pick it up and it is in fantastic condition, all it needs is a tune up as it has been sitting for 2 years.  The engine, transmission, interior, everything is great, a little tidying and it will be a perfect camper or food van.

Reason for selling?  I've found another LWB closer to home that suits me better!

All the best,

nn

Sold...

My brief flirtation with Bedford ownership was over very quickly, she wasn't quite right for me and I just wasn't ready to make a commitment.

But the next one is on the horizon, a friend introduced me to her and we clicked straight away, this could be the one!
