Electric Windows

Hi all.

after just installing central locking in the beddie, (works great)
the Miss's can't reach the Window handle..

an i was wondering who has been able to put electric windows in?
an how hard was it to fit into the door?
what car did they kill for the electric winding mecks..

please can anyone help out-there

there was a elec window mechanism at rocket industries, but it didnt go all of the way down, left 2-3 inches up,,

i got some second hand mitsibishi after market bolt on's.. take the winder off & fit them over the top of winder sindel.

will dig them out & take a pic..

going to put them in the camper..

I looked at a Beddy for sale that had lecky windows, from memory it used the motors out of an older Volvo, and the owner said it was a pretty straight forward conversion, replaced part of the original mechanisim.

so mitsibishi plug on winders are they..
or will any mitsibishi electric winders work? (i dont mind a day at the wreckers finding parts)

the electronics will be easy to work out tho.. i hope.

i love doing moods to my beddy.. i also like how people respect you an worship your ride..
so the way i see it she deserves everything, at a price i can afford...lol (but like a women they allways want more spent on them )

when I was doing the electric windows in mine I had a hard time finding anything that fitted. The main problem being the bedford window is straight up and down where as the other makes are nearly always curved glass.
I ended up using an import one (curved), straightened it up and mounted it, was a real hassle, especially the mounting to the glass, but as my is chopped I had the side windows made up with the import mounts (holes drilled through he glass then toughened).

There must be an easier way, maybe adapting a wiper motor motor to the regulator and using micro switches for cut offs at top and bottom?
