Weber carby conversion. Who's interested in doing one?
« on: March 19, 2009, 08:05:46 PM »
G'day

I have been interested in doing a Weber conversion on a 202 for a while. I have bought a carby and got it serviced and then I fitted it to a 186S manifold. I hadn't worked out how to fit an air filter though. I have been busy of late and I missed this on ebay:

Item number: 170305496641

BUGA!

The adaptor on top of the carby is just what I am looking for.

Hunted on the net and found this just posted:

The story (with more photos) is here:
http://gallery.oldholden.com/davequey74/adaptor_001/

I tracked him down and rang him tonight. We had a good chat and he said that he just made his first one but that he is going to make some and sell them.

I put my hand up for one.

Does anybody else want one?

Price will probably depend on quantity but will be reasonable.

Regards

Chris

G'day

He is only making them as a hobby and there will only be a limited number made. I am trying to get him to make a few more, so at this stage expressions of interest are being sought.

hi chris, and all other bedford fans

my name is dave, i have made the weber cold air intake it the photo, i made it for a mate who has a old land rover with a 202 red in it, he put a 34 adm weber carby on it and couldn't find a adaptor to put on it so he could hook it up to his air box, so i made this for him

i got a call from chris (not sure how he got my number) and he wanted to know if i'd make some for him, so i have dicided to go and make a batch (about 10) i will let you all know when there done , not sure how much yet, will work that out when there done

feel free to send me a email if you have any questions

cheers dave
