CF Bedford Tray for Sale
« on: August 05, 2017, 10:09:18 PM »
I have decided to sell my Bedfords. Since my partner passed away the projects just dont have the same meaning to me anymore.
You can view some photos in the gallery of IWander.

The one in my/Iwander profile photo  is now unregistered.
Our Nu-Tart has given us many Klms of joy & has been a solid reliable drive for many years.
2 tonne rated carrying capacity checker plate floor on tray with drop sides. 6 cylinder 202 red motor, manual, aussie 4 speed m20 on gas. Has 64 litres  plus petrol.

We started to clean our baby up by sanding the roof & tidy up a bit of the standard rust spots. The sunroof was taken out of it so we could sand the roof for a respray but it has never been completed.

There are 2 commodore adjustable seats we had ready to be put in. The original seats are still in there twin seat passenger & original ( need a pillow to sit on) drivers seat ( no back adjustment in these ones.)

I bought a new windscreen from rare spares & had it installed with a new rubber.
Original seats, dash & instruments
It has a heavy duty tow bar & space under the tray to store ramps. (Thats what we used the space for.)

Cleanskin tyres all round & the spare has good tread as well.
I drove it from the back yard to the front for easy viewing & run it a few times since there.

We are in Frankston North, Victoria if anyone has an interest.

I would sell it for the value of the motor & gearbox. $500.00 take it away.
You can ring me at any reasonable hour on 0431714271.
You are welcome to come to view it, drive it & well why not... buy it...

Thank you for your interest.
Mark.

Hi a Mark, I will buy this. Is it possible for it to be driven to Ballarat? Are th brakes ok etc. how quickly do you need it removed? Will give you a call tomorrow to discuss if that's ok.

Mark,

I'm really sorry to hear about your partner passing away.
I know there isn't much anyone can say or do to make it easier.
Just wanted to say my thoughts are with you.

Condolances marty

Hi Dasher, It was a going vehicle, so it should drive there ok. It has been sitting for a while...( 3 years at least.)

I'll give it the once over & see what it needs to tidy it up for a permit to travel.

Oh just thinking about permits.... I found out that it costs the same for a 28 day permit as it does for 1 or a 7 day permit ( at least it did for my caravan ) (Just an FYI ))

Thank you too Marty for your comments.

I'll keep in touch & let you know how its all going Dasher.
Thanks Mark.

Gooday Dasher. All the rain this week has slowed things down a bit, but the good news is... It Lives. Vroom vroom.

I  had the old girl running & it sounds great.

Now I just have to see about stopping the old tart. As soon as I get a sunny day I'll try to bleed the brakes. More a 2 man job but I'll have a crack.

I took some photos but my phone wont connect to this computer for some reason ( something about updating the usb connection????).  Maybe I can get the photos on a thumb drive & transfer them over.

Ah the life of owning a bedford eh! & an old samsung.

I'm excited. She lives.   ( I knew it would.)

I expected the battery to be flat. I took 9 photos using a friends camera. Thanks Lisa.
They are in my gallery for BeddyBoy.

(They dont seem to want to load here sorry. Not even 1 at a time. Maybe they are more than 3000 whatever bites/bytes in size.)

Still to put in the sunroof, I'm rather amazed the tarp works so well.

Dasher I took the old girl for a quick fang down the road last night & put it in the driveway.

Lets try another photo set. ???
Damn, I even used a shrink pic program & they are still too large.
Oh well I'll put these in Beddyboys gallery too then.

We need a good battery or a jump start with the current battery, some bulbs & a bit of fiddling around to be able to drive her home Dasher.

The fiddling around is to secure the tunnel cover from blowing up at 60 k. and maybe something to seal the sunroof if its raining?

It looks like she's still got a nearly full tank of gas. No guarantees there though.

Found the photos bud. Looks like I may be able to get there a little earlier hopefully around 11-12 o'clock if that's ok?

Thanks for the heads up Dasher & letting me know that you wont be able to go ahead with it.

I hope your homelife difficulties improve soon.

That means fellow Bugarites that now, some other fortunate interested party has the opportunity of purchasing this magnificent work of art for the meager investment of $500.00 & a Vicroads permit.

My phone number if someone is interested in discussing the Bedford Tray Truck, is 0431714271.
Please ring during reasonable hours.

(10 pm borders on WTF.) hahaha  as does 6 am.

Many thanks BeddyBoy.
