5sp gearshift adaptor kit?
« on: March 15, 2017, 05:07:53 PM »
I'm getting prepared to change out the Aussie 4sp for a celica  5spd and am worried about how far back the gearshift comes out through the floor compared to its current location. What are these gearshift adaptor kits that can be used to change the actual gearshift location??

Thanks

I had to build my own remote shifter. Some photos in my gallery.

That's  impressive!! Is yours a celica 5spd?  Did you have any basic drawings or ideas to base it off, or is it completely original/ custom design?

Are you aware of any "off the shelf" remote shifters that could work?

Thanks

Mine is a W50 5 speed. It originally was behind a Holden 3.3 blue motor. the shifter was behind then but when I put a 5.0 litre in it I had to more it back another 50mm. I couldn't find anything off the shelf. All my research pointed to making my own. It really wasn't hard and I got it in one go.

If you want  to chat about it, PM me and I will give you my mobile.
