Holden 6 Intake

Hey guys,
I'm in the process of bringing a 76 swb ute back to life.
The floor had been butchered and cowl extended to suit a holley set up on the holden red 6. The floor is being replaced as original and cowl also.
I was wondering what intake set ups have been used for a warm / hot red 6 with using the original floor and cowl.

Hi Cam   I dont know how bad  your floor and cowl has been butchered  if you could still use it and  use a 34 adm weber carby  they came out on the xe falcons.  As for a warm red 202 a   blue 202 would be better than spending money on warming up red engine but your red engine might be already warmed up and in good nick for all i know.  google  adm weber blue motor

Just doing this conversion...... so here is my question... can someone who has done this post a picture of new accelerator linkage. has me a bit stumped as to the best way to do it.

mine was on a HQ  with the old  accelerator foot pedal  to carby rod and linkage system removed.     think i changed the accelerator pedal from a newer  HX,HZ accelerator pedal that used accelerator cable

Am not a big fan of holley carbys ether. But  a 450 econmaster 4bbl  holley are a very good carbys  from what i have read they a weber design. built under licence by holley.     they look very much like a  smaller version of  4bbl rochester carby.   the 450  econmaster carby gives very good low rpm torque and are good on fuel   and still puts out good power on hwy when you need it.  they work well with mild performance cams engines  . But they dont like wild cam performance engines

Here are pics of my set up

Snorkel n bend are Renault n bmw

Made little bracket to take cable

Long Black hose covers the  fuel solenoid kept hitting on cover n faulting

The return spring .. I mounted a bracket on the intake manifol bolts

Looks good Marky. I like the snorkel idear so as engine sucking cooler air  instead of hot air under the bonnet
