Sam's SWB Beddy
« on: November 30, 2015, 12:52:47 PM »
Hey guys. Similar story here been floating around the site for a while now thought I would introduce myself. Bought myself a project around 3 months ago. '78 SWB Beddy, running a 253 (was straight gas, now running straight fuel with 350 holley), trimatic with B&M quickshifter and standard beddy diff. Current paint is a 2-tone silver and blue in 2-pack, done around 25 years ago so she's getting a little tired! As you could imagine.

Poor old girl is riddled with rust (Rear doors, between top of windscreen and gutter, side door hinges, wheel arches, front floor pan passenger side) so that's where most of the time and effort has been going at the moment. Also been tidying up the loom, toyed with the idea of redoing the whole lot but wasn't too bad. Wiper motor has been replaced with vy commy. Floor in the back has been stripped back and gone over with black enamel, just got a bit of welding to do in the front floor pan and that will be done as well.

Will get some more photos up soon because everyone loves a piccy or two!!

Cheers, Sam

Thanks guys. Just a couple photos. Replacing steel in the front passenger floor pan. Still a few more patches before paint. And a before and after of the rear floor pan

Hey mate

It's an overhead console with a stereo mounted in the middle. I actually met the bloke who put it in there, I was doing some work on the van out the front and a bloke rode past, came up and said he used to own the van! He did the original v8 conversion and paint job, along with this console as well. Bloody small world!

No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

Hey mate, sorry for hijacking your name! Haha should have done some more research first. It's sort of a housing for the gas tank. Bolts up from underneath and sort of protrudes through the floor a little. I'm running fuel at the moment but i would like the option to go to dual fuel.
