What are you planning to do next
« on: September 28, 2015, 04:27:52 AM »
Gday all, I'm starting to get back into things, haven't done anything much at all on the bed in last couple of months or maybe year,  weather has been shit, have no power in shed yet and struggle with mental health
 Getting back into things my plans ( just little ones) are;
 drop out the front,
 remove 202,
disassemble sub frame, clean and paint, replace anything that needs it
 investigate power window kit,
 fix up bonnet hinges as mine has a lot of lateral movement,
 I've also got to change one front wheel from beddie drum to hq disc. That's the immediate list of small things ,
the other is save up for new motor, and parts.... Or a donor car
 After a lot of pondering I'm settling on a v6 and auto, would a 10 bolt Salisbury diff be suitable, handle things ok
Thank you

Donor car is the best way to go, VN-VP commodore V6 is a good motor & not too much electronics to deal with. 10 bolt Salisbury would handle the power but it's a good idea to mock up the wheels you plan to use to make sure the width will work.

I did the same using a VN V8 donor car.
When changing the engine be sure to have the same size diameter front disc brakes that was on the donor car end up on the Beddy. It's a regulation.
