geez your not wasting any time! it looks good so far :) keep the pics coming for sure!

I didn't realise the commodore mounts were different heights on the crossmember!

I am guessing by tomorrow you'll have the motor in and crossmember back under the van!  :o
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

that little cradle you've made sure will make it easy to slide it all in and out!

Hey guys, that is weird with the different height mounts. When i did my VP V6 my mounts were the same height, why the difference here, is your motor a VP ?

george

Is there any time frame on when we can access the album on here, or have we lost those photos forever.

yeah that Jockey wheel has been pretty handy over the years.

when aligning crossmember to body can move motor forwards/backwards on the trolley/front wheels and take chocks from rear wheels and move front half of van sideways on girder trolley/hoist for final alignment

Hi George motor is vn, I think the difference is because I used the vn mounts, passenger side has air con compressor on it, this is why i made a template of commodore first that was level and parallel with its crossmember and then projected this onto the beddy crossmember, I also offset the motor to the passenger side 60mm

Maybe we need to bite the bullet and all put in a few $$ to get Shane some help. I am sure we are all in a car club and we all know how hard it is to get help... any help, be that good, bad or indifferent!
And please... I am not criticising...

And am sorry to hijack this thread....
Workin for the weekend!

Shane is working on the gallery in his spare time, of which he doesn't have a lot of.
I've tried to offer my help but nothing has come of it.
There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me"
