marty the repair job done fr $1200 was a waste of money. in fact if it came back to me with the repairs done like he had i would have asked him to pay me for working on my van.. just been totally bogged up with no consideration of the body lines at all!!

i am in conversation about buying his van and all his parts at once..

Marty I've dealt with him as well and I found him to be a pretty decent guy as well.

There was one in the RHS pillar that runs between the windscreen and the RH door frame.

There was also rust in and around the windscreen near the centre of the windscreen on the
bottom edge. This would need to be cut out and welded.

Majority of the body was good - rear doors were exceptional, the straightest and best closing
rear doors I have ever seen.

The Rear RH wheel arch and floor looks to be quite badly rusted in the pics.
I didn't see these as I was there at night. The owner didn't point them out either.
Intentional or not he missed a few things but I put that down to him being a bit vague.

His name is Peter and he is a top bloke, he has stuff everywhere - a bit of a hoarder from what
I could see. The van had been left to sit outside for over 12 months, just sitting...
I would have had the thing under cover - one of the straightest Beddy's I have seen.

If your looking to buy this van Warren I would seriously consider it.
Lots of little rust repairs and a semi major one on the rear wheel arch but after that you have a
very fine looking van.

This van has moderate rust in a few (approx 6-10 spots to repair) places, either way if you could get it off
him for anywhere between $1500 and $2000 you would have a good starting point for a build

If I could do the whole Bedford purchase again I would probably go for something like this van and then
build it slowly - pick it up for $1500 - $2000 and spend another $2000 - $3000 on it over a couple of years.

Don't get me wrong I love my van and all but I would like to have done all of the work on it myself.
More enjoyable and more rewarding. When I sell my LWB I will be looking for a SWB and I will do the
build myself from start to finish.

If you want me to go and inspect the van in DAYLIGHT and go through it thoroughly and take pics let me know.
I would be happy to do this for you for the cost of fuel.

Warren,

The repairs were dodgy as the rust was not cut out and replaced with mew metal.

They were probably rust treated and from what I saw they looked like they had been bogged over.
The bog was already starting to lift in places after the van sitting in the elements for a year.
