Wrecking
« on: November 23, 2014, 08:47:03 PM »
Hi Beddites,
My old van must go soon the last big parts are a 173 engine, standard trimatic box driveshaft & diff. The font end also stock, steering rack & column. Located Brisbane. Will be available for a few weeks before  it goes to the scrappers. Rental house means I can't keep it  as a store room, paint shop or cubby. Free to good home.

i'm looking for a good floor shifter set up for my trimatic that has a good solid 'lock in place shifter' and an inhibitor switch - is your set up stock?

Hi Shane,
I'm  over in Redcliffe  work  arvos, txt to 0432676450 if you wanna have a look, most welcome.

Hi Mezzmo,

Yes the shifter is stock to the trimatic, thru the floor, round knob with a small rectangle button on top, a screw in hatch. I'll take it out, looks like it works ok. Will have to check for the switch,it'll be on the gearbox, yes?

Thanks responders! :)

Downhill, the switch should be on the bottom of the selector, inside the van. There should be 4 wires plus the light into that area.

Mezzmo, I have a spare switch if needed, but unsure how "good" the rest of the unit is.

Hey Downhill ,   Would there be any chance you could shop out a section for me.
Dont have the exact measurements , but my rear R/H  tail-light section
has been smashed . All fixed now , but its not the same as before .
Any information will be appreciated .

                             Thanks Frank

Just been on Gumtree and saw this slider being wrecked in Parra.

Immediately thought of Ray/Wendy.....
also a couple of vans in Adelaide that may be a good starting point for a "new project" for somebody..... same location...

Joys of being bored on a Friday night...  ::)
