Got a frantic call yesterday morning asking if I was keen to have the van featured in a robbery scene. So most of last night was spent standing around a dodgy looking alleyway watching my van being filmed from various angles . Five hours of filming will probably end up being a minute long scene, but I can't wait to see the finished product.

way to go Gordon ...ur vans gunna be famous !  :D :D :D

yeah they seem to take so much footage and then give the van a few seconds or minutes ...
anyway its good your van is in a film...ive had three tries but its strange no one wants a purple one  ::)

there are advantages of keeping them looking stock standard...but oneday im sure someone will want my van  ;D
please let us know or post the scene hear so we can all enjoy your vans sreen time!

World famous in West Auckland ;)

I know a couple people now that have had their cars filmed in this. I'll have to get your autograph next time I see you Gordon.

Did you guys get the tv show "Outrageous Fortune" in Oz ?
There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me"

Cheers Wendy and Busy. They are real sticklers for the finer detail. Even pulled my REGO and WOF stickers off the window and replaced it with a period correct REGO sticker. Luckily I still have the original black and white REGO plates, so no change needed there. I had to remove the bed and my crushed velvet back door panels so that they could get close up shots of the baddies chucking all of the loot in the back. Off came the headrests from my front seats and the bullet style rev counter from the top of my dash as they wanted an uncluttered look for the close up of the getaway driver through the windscreen. No one seemed to notice my non standard rear view mirrors  ;)

The scene was set in the rain so between shoots a fellow would give the alley and my van a hose down. Free wash, what a bonus :-) The food was pretty good too. Steak for tea and American hot dogs for a midnight snack with lots of coffees in between. I guess I felt a bit like a proud mum watching her youngster on stage  ;D ;D
