Dinky Toys were popular diecast miniatures in the UK and around the world, using mostly 1:45 scale.
As well as making a range of US vans, Dinky produced the Bedford 410 in large quantities.
They were 90mm long, fitted with Speedwheels, were well built but lacked some attention to detail.

The first 410 was sold in 1972 with Simpson's Canadian store (pic 2). In 1974 they made the Danish
Post van, followed by another 9 or 10 models. These 410 models were supplied pre-painted in various colours for dealers to add their own advertising.

When the factory closed in 1979, John Gay, a specialist model dealer, bought several hundred blanks
and left over decals and continued to sell them. These are known as the Code 2 models.

They can always be found on ebay.

The Dinky Bedford 412 was first produced as a yellow AA service van.
The Code 2 models were refinished and sold in a few different variations.

Matchbox (Lesney) and Corgi made CA Bedford models in the late 50s-early 60s. I remember having
a #29 Matchbox Milk Delivery van when I was a child. (My first Beddy)

In 1986, Matchbox produced a 1:43 scale Bedford K143 Ambulance as part of their Superkings range. These have good detail and were probably the only model CF2 van made.

Wiking Models: German manufacturer, Wiking Modellbau produced the No. 87 Feuerwehr (Fire Dept.)
Bedford in 1976. It was more accurately detailed than other 70's CF models. (pics)

Three other companies - Faie, Welly, and Pioneer (Remco) shared the same 1:64 castings for a more
generic looking van. Made in China, there were three variations in the casting, two porthole vans and
a solid side model. Many of these have 'Bedford' on the base.

Dinky 410-H Code 3

I found a webpage on a NZ toy site by a collector, regarding the Dinky 410 models.
There's a good set of expandable pics on here.

At the bottom of the page it shows an 'Ishimar' produced Dinky 410-H which was made in 2010.

I have a few of the Dinky vans (and lots of the corgi), the dinky have tin bases and undersized wheels.

The best likeness of a CF Bedford in a model that I have found is a HO model (train set model, smaller than hotwheels). Is plastic but is very well scaled

You'll have to post some pics of your collection one day, Busy.

I just bought this one from Melbourne through ebay. A good old 70's model with proper sized wheels.
Would love to know it's history.

website is http://diecastvans.com/

The HO one I was talking about is first one on this page http://diecastvans.com/othertypes.html
