RIP Melanie Armstrong
« on: September 11, 2014, 02:59:23 PM »
Hi all,

It is with great sadness that tomorrow I say the final goodbye to my wife, solemate and best friend of 35+ years.  :( :'( :( :'( She passed away peacefully at home on Monday morning after a courageous 21 month battle with cancer. She was a vanner through and through and attended the first NZ Van Nationals with me way back in 1977 and nearly all others since. Our dream to attend a US National Truckin happened in 2012 when we attended the 40th US Nationals at Elkhorne, Wisconsin along with some fellow Aussie vanners. Awesome experience.

Her funeral will be held tomorrow 12th September at 2 pm at Forrests Funeral Services, 8 Glen Road, Browns Bay, Auckland and any vanners wishing to attend are most welcome to do so. Mel will be cremated following the service so will possibly be attending a few more van runs before we part for good.

There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me"
