Rear Springs

Hi all,
       I have am looking for a set of  CF van rear springs and shackles. I have a cab chassis and with the mods I have done with the rear it sits to high.. Any one in the melbourne/ Ballarat /Geelong area that have a pair for sale let me know..

   I think they come in 2 sizes , from what l can remember . Could be wrong , but im pretty sure that they did. LWB longer bushing than SWB

Thanks Frank... not to sure if there was a difference in length of the spring but the springs I have on it at the moment make it sit up high...I was hoping to see If a van spring would fit A short wheel base...

Fat bed, as far as I know the van's came with two rear spring options. The older models had a single leaf rear spring and the newer models a multi - leaf. I'm assuming that you have the single leaf option. You can get the radius on your single leaf spring modified by a spring works. Its not a hugely expensive exercise. Measure from the centre of your wheel to the underside of your tray. Then work out what you want your new measurement to be. You can then pull out your springs and take them along to a springworks place with your measurements and they will adjust the springs accordingly. If you have multi leaf springs you can lower the rear by removing some of the blades, but I suspect that this will reduce your carrying capacity.  Hope this helps.

Silly question, but why bother with the springs. 

My cab/chassis has the diff on top of the springs, so if you need to lower it, just add a spacer.

I still reckon having your existing springs re-radiused is the way to go. Got mine done to give me a 3 inch drop about a month back and it cost me $100 to do the set. Picked them up the same day.

I have a Ford AU diff fitted and it wont fit on top of the springs so It is sitting under the sping.. The springs that are in it have 10 leafs... the standard vac spring has 6.. I have looked around here and the only place that will do the spring redution want a fortune... (Ballarat area)so it is cheaper to find a set of van springs and fit those... The tray sits up High at the rear by about 20% and as much as it looks cool with the fat mags I want to be able to use the tray..... 
Ps the AU diff gives me great ratio for the highway and topend speed...

10 leafs, wow no wonder you don't want to get them adjusted. That would cost you a fortune.

There's your problem and would cost less to have the diff "modified" to fit on top of the springs.
And wouldn't need a specialist to do... anybody handy with a welder should be able to fit the bracket!

By the way, 10 springs is the correct number.

If you need photo's of a standard setup, just ask.
