Putting a Bedford to "Good Use"
« on: January 19, 2009, 06:21:58 PM »
How do you put your Bedford to "Good Use"? Feel free to post a reply!

One of my goals for 2009 was to put the Bedford to good use. As I have nearly owned the van for one year
and not had to spend more than $50 on it in that time I am stoked at how reliable and usable the van has
been. I plan to use it every weekend if not - every 2nd weekend to go away on some form of mission/adventure.

I bought a power inverter and have a good setup for watching DVD's on my 17inch laptop.
The spots that I will take it will have a toilet and are all on the beach (for summer). The vents
in the roof and above the rear doors give good air circulation so it doesn't really get hot.

So far I have taken it away twice. The first trip was to the Northern beaches.

Good old inverter from Dick Smith.

Simple sheet rigging for privacy.

King tides meant for swimming in the 'pool'

The second trip was just south of Sydney near Wollongong.

Magic spot, fell asleep to the sound of the waves breaking.

A nice view to wake up to.

Trusty sheet doing a great job!

On the way home - the view from Stanwell Tops.

Barry - beautiful as ever!

If you've got a Beddy that is running - put her to good use. These 2 trips are some of the best
times that me and the miss have had in a long time. Cheap, fun and memorable.

I bought my beddie as i was starting to build a house, holds full sheets of plaster in the rear for wet weather (in a shorty)
heavy duty leaves in the rear for weight)

tows my heavy duty tandem trailer like a freight train. and doubles as a fun unit to piss off other van drivers and people who think their  cars are the fastes thing on four wheels.

what else can you ask for???
