might as well do a "what ya been up to ..."

Standard CF:
finished wiring up dash - late model dash in mk1, had to repaint windscreen/wiper panel and inner pillars
waiting on transmission so can get drive shaft done before xmas, I have until monday at the very latest - stress

Custom CF:
been working on all the unseen stuff - shifter cable, handbrake lever, brake lines, and things like booster and steering (no power steer). I'm hoping to line tow the van home on monday so can finish the body off over xmas but if I don't get the trans and driveshaft for the other van it's not going to happen :(
There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me"

What happened Busy with Neil Fraser??? I was getting mucked around in a sence by a bloke at TSL while trying to organise everything. So switched to Neil Fraser.

Watch out you guys, this is turning into a NZ post. My van was factory fitted from new with Holden 202 , discs Holden diff etc so does not need a cert so when I add something new they are none the wiser. He He.

waikatostocky, tomorrow is going to be the decider, if it comes back or not. will let you know, cheers

Joel, this is copy from my van sites bitch and moan page

"Just about finished the first van (around the time I found the bent rail), I phoned and made appointments with two engineers, so they could check over what had been done ... The first was a guy by the name of Neil Fraser, his answer phone message kind of insists you are reliable and leave a message ... but is himself is very unreliable, made an appointment with him and he never turned up, never phoned to say so either, a week or so after we was meant to turn up he phoned and said he was in the area ... I told him he was unreliable and would find someone else. The other was a guy called Mark Stokes, this guy is meant to be the guy, but is very unreliable, made an appointment and he never turned up or phoned. Since doing this van, sorting parts etc you talk to a lot of people, apparently Mark Stokes is well known for being unreliable and has a bad name around the car scene. Avoid these guys if you can."

Bas NZ, I got one of them too - aussie assembled 3.3, problem is my papers say jumbo though

I went and did some hillbilly shooting.  I'd never shot a gun before, much fun was had.  An old wreck of a car was the target with a couple of bricks on top.  I wasn't too bad a shot either.  I blasted some bricks and fired a 375 Holland and Holland magnum (this one had some serious kick)  And used a rare 303 low mount sniper rifle.
