Hey guys, i have been looking and as yet not found, so decided to cheat a bit and ask you guys. I am looking for a supplier here in brissy, that sells liquid expansion foam. The one i want is a 2 part moulding foam, and you can get it in roughly 2lt bottles. I am guessing that this is a product that can not be shipped interstate for hobby use because of it flamable state, so if i can get it local, would be easier.  I want to be able to carve, trim, and sand it. Can you paint or fibreglass the finished job. Thanks guys.

Its A B foam ( Polyurathane) and you can get it from any of the resin suppliers in Brisbane. Its compatible with both Polyester and Epoxy resins after wards  -Nuplex or CCP ,will have it , they have a few out lets there but just google them, Be careful on filling confined areas as it goes crazy once the reaction starts and it could destroy what ever you were planning to do,.Good luck

Plus it acts like a big sponge, so if you have any water leaks in that area
Be prepared to throw the van away after 4 or so years

And fuel. Dad used it in a boat and had a fuel leak. Luckily we were still at the boat ramp when it went up.
I was 8 or 9. Still remember it 45 years later.....  :o

You can get that foam in a spray can, it expands when sprayed.   I didnt bother reading the instructions sprayed a small container full it about doubled and I threw the whole lot away and started again so I can confirm comment it goes crazy when reaction starts.  It says on can it can be sanded but I never tried one can did a fair size area.

it wasnt this one but something similar

Hi George,
contact either Scot Hood or Andrew at CG Composites phone 38682025 for all that stuff. C.G Composites are the official V8 Supercar supplier for many composite materials these days. They are at Hendra.

Ok, not much of an update, as been busy with work, but have got the rebate to a point it is complete, just need to finish a bit of bog work, paint and then lay them up, Yes this is a plug, but will also be the mould as it has been made in such away it will last a long time.

It is the inside bit that you can't see in the photo that becomes the rebate for the window.
