Well this week I finally realized that the V6 commodore engine conversion to my truck wasn't going to become a reality so decided to sell off the donor car  :(  But have found a suitable replacement to fit into it instead  ;D ;D ;D ;D ::) ::)

OH YEAH BABY !!!!

This week Vn brake booster and master cyl fitted  .brake pedal in place...   radiator and air con radiator fitted ( modified the vn radiator surround to sit on Beddie frame.. not difficult just a bit of thought) ;D        picked up modified diff .. Salisbury HX 1 tonner with the heavier axle tubes.  3.36 ratio  12 bolt centre.. has been widened to same as original beddie and now has standard vn disc rear brakes fit straight on   :) :)   will be fitted by mid week so I can order new tail shaft..  all beddie wiring has been removed.  :-\  hope to have all the commodore  wiring loom fitted and hooked in by the end of the week. Tag everything when i took if out of donor car.....    All looking good.....

If you can get some pics as well that will be good.

John,
I think the biggest issue will be that the loom will be too long in some places & too short in others, but there again, I intend to make a new loom from scratch for my tray top rebuild so who is crazier?
Workin for the weekend!

Looking good Bas

If you put the loom through the top of the firewall (both sides) then you just need to fold up the loom once under the heater.
That's with the main fuse box under the r/h bonnet hinge, and computer on the l/h kick panel.
I think the only wires needing extending a few inches is the coil pack wires if you angle it up some to avoid cutting the floor out.
I used the Calais engine/loom so had a few extras but van runs 99% holden wiring (1% thats not is the tail light plugs)
There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me"

Thanks Guys ,  I'm going to lay the wiring out on the ground... look at it. ::)  walk around it... ::)  scratch my head... ::)  then just go for it.  IT WILL FIT, I,ve got the full wiring loom., and when i took it out of the donor car I marked everything, so it will be easy to put it back in..  The battery cable to the battery may need to be lengthened not sure yet.     Yes have taken lots of pics, just have to get around to uploading them.    I've used the VN brake booster, master cyl  footbrake mounting bracket but beddie brake pedal.. So no structual changes ( no cutting or welding needed.), so hopefully shouldn't have any problems with engineers  :)  :)
