bought another van last week. bargin beddy 250 buck special:) and licenced (for you wa blokes) lol another story to tell..
hitched a ride to melbourne..
carried a 20kg toolbox and 15kg and a bed bonnet for someone, walked some 5kms to the station..
i had a bit of timber with me so i could do it old style.. battery on left toolbox on right on the timber on my back..
man it looked funny walking through melbourne.. hard work too!!
anyway got on the train before it started raining..
then trained it to the blokes house in brunswick.. approx 3 hours from my house.
he gave ,me the run down.. he said the starter was stuffed on the phone but i asumed it was just the battery cause he wasnt the best with cars..
turns out the flywheel had about 3 teeth left on it.
he managed to get it started straight away which was suprising..
i drove it 10kms down the road meet up with blck beddy bloke i saw on the side of the road - that bloke that ended up going to the drivins a couple a weeks ago:) we exchanged numbers i kept driving. stopped to pick up 7 wipersnipers for a old mate and i forgot and turned the engine off! nooooooooooo..
i loaded up.. turned ignition on pressed the majic button........ nothing... noooooooooooo!!!!
so i got the bloke i got the stuff off to jump in. i was under the van checking power to the starteer solinoid.
nope no power. oh well guess its old way..
screw driver bridge starter.. zing...zzzzzzzzzzzzz ar!!! turn engine over by hand to new position try again..
30 mins later got her running! get packing tape and tape the ignition on! for the next 5 hours i didnt turn the motor off of fear of not being a ble to get her started again! was at tonys house for 30 mins while the van pured away in the back ground ha ha..
eventualy got her home.. her are some pics of the old girl..
bit sad. not much good on her. except hr front disk brakes.. very intersting.. will post some pics of the conversion one day.
