David, WHAT another one, have you been holding out on us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yeah I ended up with the body that I that i put a post up on the for sale section, didn't want it going to the scrap dealer. No idea what I'm going to do with it, could turn it into a trailer for either of my vans but again storage and would i ever use it ... could do something radical to it, shorten, sectioned and even chop and channel as well but I've already got one unpractical van i have to finish. In the meantime I'll probably just use it as a jig and try get some time to get onto that powersteering kit I started at the beginning of the year.

commodore engines are known for their rattly chains so am just going to put up with it for a while, cheapest was from OZ, place called precision. i didnt have time to give it a look look but there is an iddy cam or something behing the chain, i think that could be noisey as well. noise, what noise, I didnt hear any noise .. :D
just wish xmas was over with so can get on with the custom van.

I AM THE GRINCH !!!

my plan is to finish the body work on the custom van, hopefully everyone goes away and I wont get interupted.

I think the g/f has something else planned, could be bedford parts at 20 paces

Managed to make contact with the first owner of my van today. He remembers picking up the van from the dealership in Newmarket in  June 1978. Was able to tell me a few bits and pieces about the van which he owned for just over 20 years. He stays pretty close by and has asked me to drop by so he can view the van. He hasn't seen it since 1998. Told me that the motor never gave him a moments grief, but the van was on its third gearbox when he sold it. He even remembered the name of the fellow he sold the van to and was amazed to hear that the second owner kept the van for 11 years.
