ben, those doors look good, surely for the effort to remove and store they're worth more to you or someone else than the tip. if the steerign rack isn't loose, it's fairly easy to pull off and quite handy to have.. just my thoughts tho..

delrazor, looking good mate. should last longer than vinyl.

we've been flat out lately.. been restoring a HQ wagon for a mate, its almost finished.. We've also been preparing for the HQ nationals - which are this weekend.
We've been panelbeating today, been building exhausts, rebuilding motors, tuning motors, and will be focusing on giving the motor some more of its power back now that we have given the car more traction.. Lots to do, so little time now
So if any of you blokes want to come out to wanneroo raceway on sunday (there's only 2 races saturday) we'll be there all day. Dont be offended if I dont have time to stand around and chat, i'll likely be very busy throughout the day, but can always have a chat at the end of the day. I think things start around 8am, and go until 5 or 6 pm..
I also received the sound deadener today, so I can bring it to the track for you guys to pick up, or you can come to my house(for those that have placed orders)..

Also got my valve cover spreader bars last week, so they were fitted up quickly yesterday. fortunately after this weekend I'll be able to spend a bit of time on the van doing a few necessary things..

ben good to hear you're thinking ahead, i got a bit worried seeing the van on the trailer already.

John, there are plenty of grassed areas for people with the time to relax ;) bring your folda chairs and pick a spot, if you're confident enough you'll be abel to walk past security into the licenced area and indulge in a beverage while taking advantage of the seats provided there.
I think i'll be spending most of the day in the engine bay, or under the car - tho a day of just fueling the car and cleaning the plugs would be nice.

We have 4 or 5 races, but all up there'll be 8 or 9 HQ races, as there are Group A races and Group B races (as there'll be around 60 cars)
all up we'll be doing something like 62 laps on sunday
I'm not sure on entry prices but it'll be around the $10 a person mark

*update* car is now painted and polished(all a rush job), we've re fitted the LH gaurd, filled the tyres with nitrogen, bought 100L of fuel.. bit of carby work for tomorro, then we'll have to load up in the arvo in preparation for the practice session on friday..
We practiced last saturday, and put down the fastest times we've done all season(by quite a bit) and each time we had slower cars blocking us.... hopefully friday will prove to be the same....

Hey guys, i have solved the mystery of why power is so expensive. I am stuffed this morning, did not get to bed till almost 2am, bloody black out, again. I recon the bloody government have a figure they need to get from us suckers each year, but with all the blackouts we get, their not charging for power that does not exist in a black out, so the up the price to compensate for when power goes down. thats my p****t off theory this morning.  ;) ;D  Now i am going to work on my van with the mechanic.
