Well beddy truck number one is in the brake shop away from home for the first time......good news is......when it comes home it will be parked in the garage and beddy number 2 is going into the shed.......the mantury......club testosterone.....arrrghhh arrrggghhh arrrrrggghhh......ready to get started on it.....took a good look over it today and it shouldn't take too long to get into shape....have decided i am going to have the body and paint done professionaly......i will simply rub it back and prime it so i can still drive it round....got some electrical to do and re- do the steering column and dash with new gauges......yew bewdy

Hey gazza, this is a simple way to work out neg / posi, the possitive post normally has a bunch of wires coming off it, negative normally just has one connected to the post, at least all my vehicles do. If i'm mistaken someone will correct me.

Batteries have the polarity marked on the top beside each terminal.

Ignore the wire colour. It is positive (+) to positive (+) and negative (-) to negative (-).

If you go positive to negative you will have a closed loop circuit with 2 lead acid batteries in series and that is very bad.

Long motor means complete, but doesn't realy mean carb and dissy and starter. AS long as it got some bore left, its agood buy, l hope its a 010, a stage 2 cam is just above stock, proberbly a gas cam
make it reliable, or smash it with a big hammer

Well i spoke to my sparky yesterday, and the good news is he has been able to reconfigure my cruise control to get it to talk to my  computer, so i should have a fully working cruise when we start to put the van back together. One less headache ticked off.

Spoke to my sheet metal guy on friday, he will be here this friday to finally finish my bloody tail lights. the pain aaarrrhhh.

Spoke to my mechanic this morning, and he will be here on thursday to connect up the steering rack to the column. oh yeh. and to modify the shifter, measure the tierods, and just finish off small jobs b4 he raps up his part for a while. So when i finish here i need to ring my mate rob and get some parts off him.

Hey desparate, see what you are getting into by buying a beddy, i would not change it for anything.  ;D ;D ;D for some obscene reason i love the nightmare of building a beddy. back to my shrink.. ;)
