bought a plasma cutter yesterday off ebay for 650 bucks with a pilot arc. arnt expecting it to last any longer than a year but it has a 1 year warrenty with it so thats good.

anyway cant wait to cut some stuff up muha ha ha

bit scary how easy it would be to break into anything! cuts like 16mm plate steel! and the rest of the metals no worries

Well i got my mechanic back yesterday, very productive, we sorted out the link between the column and rack, so that is now off to the engineer to have the splines sorted so it all becomes one, so that should be done in the next few days. We also found a handbrake [freeby] from my 60 cruiser, perfect size and fit, so we now have that location sorted. My gear shifter has also been sorted, and the location worked out, so we have almost reached a milestone, in that all the mechanical engineering/fabrication is just about done. In the next week, we will connect the steering, measure the tirod ends to get the right length, make up the new radiator mounts, and confirm the shifter/brake height when i make a cardboard console to scale, and then it will be ready to pull down to rebuild everything. Feels good when the sheet metal is going so slow.

fitted two new shockies to the blu van and some pinchweld to the doors went to take it round the block and she started to shake like a banshee butt welded to eddie murphy!!
upon further inspection the rear gearbox mount had destroyed itself. :-(  got it home and spent the rest of the day changing it over and tiding up stuff.
