Spent last weekend trying to chop up a V8 engine cover - just wasn't happy with the end result so Saturday i started on from scratch. It's in 4 pieces - 1 will be permanent (the back section) and the other 3 parts are all clip off allowing varied access depending on severity of what needs to be done. Looks a bit mechanical at the moment but once its upholstered it should come up a treat - also finished sound deadening the cab today - 10 weeks till the Variety Bash.....times really running out!!!

nice pictures messmo but i notticed in the pics the cover looks like it comes hard up beside your steering which means u wont have room for ya left foot on mine i have room so i can put my left foot beside it think u might have cut abit too much out

you're right there is no room!!, thats coz i have the air con compressor up there - with the v6 it was the only place i could fit it - i seriously thought (and am still thinking) of not running air con at all. you may have noticed that i have put a "sort of" foot rest on the compressor cover - i will see how that feels before i make the final decision.

hey mezzmo, love the choice of colours. Do you have any pics of your V6 with the air-con compressor, where did you mount yours, we found that our LHS engine mount put paid to it's normal set-up. Also what air-con system did you use ? In my case, because of my medication, i will need to run air, but at the moment that is looking less likely. Power steering comes b4 air, but i'm greedy and want both. lol  ;D ;D

Hey rogue, if i mid mounted mine now, my mechanic would quit the job. The amount of work gone into setting up the mounts now, a lot. Maybe when i do my second van lol. I woke up this morning, and instead of the W.A problem which is now gone, i woke up suddenly, wondering what had to be done b4 i do my dash. Drivers seat box has to come out, steering column has to be in, and i need my new drivers seat, all that b4 i can start on my dash and shifter location. This is a problem i dont mind sorting out.
