Just some guy who kept following me around and insisting he have a photo with me!!!!!  Had to relent....gotta keep the fans happy

Body work has finally begun, rust cut out on the passenger side above the side door and a bit above the front door, heaps to go yet, but due to the amount of rust from it being left out in the rain, was alooooot of re-sanding done.

The flares are being hand made out of steel, wheel arches are being cut out and moved out about 1-2 inches, then filled with steel (screwed if i want wider tyres after this, but i think its not very much an issue for years to come).

All rust in roof to be cut out, and tailgate to be cut, and some welding in one of the wheel arches, then sand it under and inside, and lay down the paint....as far as i can tell from trawling photos, this will be the first beedy to have the arches actually cut out and widened, instead of just welding onto the current arches? if im wrong can someone let me know the site for pics??

I should have money left over for rubbers/seals, and minor parts.

Really?

Cause i looked at both really closely, and i cant see that either of them have been done this way? (the guards actually cut out from the body to widen the arch) But its good news if they have, i was a little worried it might be risky:(

If they have been done this way, then surely there is an amazing amout of body filler that sits on top of the new arch? cause they all shape to the side of the vans? im sure mine would have a flat top about an inch or 2, making it look more boxy (which i like) or have the arches been dropped? cant see how tho. You got pics of inside the arches Ben, id love to see em.

the bloke that did vantastic told me he used almost no body filler at all, he just slit the guards, pulled them out to how he wanted them and then welded inbetween. are you refering to just cutting and starting again? if you had an english wheel that would be the way to go.

Well...I picked up my new modified tailshaft for my truck this week (very shiny and long) and will be picking up a new 2 core radiator for it as well on thursday. I have been busy cleaning the engine and front suspension on my van. I have also pulled the steering rack apart and cleaned the rack and pinion. New grease,new bearings, new boots and soon new tie rod boots as well Re-keyed ignition barrel next week as well.!

Greetings from L.A. race fans, my computer has been playing up so i haven't had the chance to read up on whats happening in Aus till i got here. Arrived here in the states yesterday from Ireland, man what a place - mostly work and very little play...but there was some play!!! leave L.A. tomorrow for Mexico for 2 days (work) back to L.A. on Friday night - Satrurday a bit of sightseeing, Sunday off to Canada (work) Tuesday back to L.A - Wednesday (work) then fly home 11pm Wednesday Night. i think i'll be needing a bit of sleep when i get back.

hopefully my beddie will be completely painted and ready for pick up when i get back which will give me the cup weekend to just sit there and stare at it Woo Hoo. I'll post some pics when i get back.

well a few days ago dad got the PE400 2 stroke (old school bike) fixed, we havnt riden it yet but hangen out to.

the bloke we bought it off told us he was frightened of it cause it had so much power.

people say the power band is just so narrow but when it hits its a bit of a struggle to keep it from flipping. sounds cool to me:)


dad and his mate cleaned out the carby and push started it the bloke had the rear wheels spinning out of control in top gear!!!

so if i dont post anything again its because the bike has killed me lol..

hopefully it doesnt thou. and your all invited to my funeral.

marty you can have my v8lwb, still registed:) i know you always wanted one and you been soo good to me:)
stuary you can have the green van back, only thing is its got no motor now, but you can have the 308 tubro 400 i got at home for it too
eddy you can have the camper cause i know you want a camper again
worzel you can have the hitman's van cause i know youll need more parts off it for your project,
beddyman you can have mossy, it has some god parts to help you get black beddy registed in NSW.
Dad can have the Zebra and make yourself some good panels for it cause its bare at moment,

and anything else bedford is open to be distributed evenly to the public. call my sister 0400567670
