They're a piece of piss to get out Johnno. I did mine over Xmas no problem although the hoist is worth it's weight in gold.

Why is the throttle plate over the far side of the engine and at a funny angle to what it should be?

Hey johnno, it took about an hr to do the lot, making sure we did not destroy the parts we need for the van was the time consuming part, most hoses we just cut, i am going to replace them with new ones.

Hi rogue, we just disconnected the throttle cable from the motor, and the plate is just sitting there on top for now, the cable is still running through the car for now. I suspect we will have to have a new cable made up.

Mine took me all day but I was taking pictures of everything as I went and saved everything including the hoses. I disconnected the exhaust as well. Although I'll be replacing the hoses I wanted them intact so at least I had something to compare them to when searching through the hose bin at Supercheap. Pulling the wiring loom out was a thankless task.

hey marty, mate i dont give a s**t about the pedal, no legs hey no pedal lol  ;D really, i was thinking of using the vp pedals, if they mount up like the beddy. As for the cable, would'nt that be about a meter to long ?  afterall from the pedal to the throttle plate is about the width of the drivers footwell, just asking. As for the pedal, if i have to fabricate new mounts, for now i will most likely not go there, but i will run it past my mechanic next week when he is out again. We have done so much custom fabrication already, a lot is engineering grade, worst part is, most people will never see or know about some of the fab work we have done. I am just looking forward to starting all the good stuff that pepole will see, that starts in the next week, after these public holidays it's all go on the body.

Something to note that I have found is that the standard Bedford pedal will not give you enough throw to fully open the butterfly on the throttle body. I will be extending the cable mounting point on the pedal to fix this. Will probably have to relocate the cable entry point on the firewall in order to stop the cable binding on the outer sheath.
