heres my guess.., bedford may have just engineered the wishbones for the 4 cylinder vaxual engine, then holden imported them waked a 6 cyl engine 3.3 thumping engine in them and they werent able to handle it so they introduced heavyer lower wishbones, lower ball joints, bigger stub axels,  and most importantly heavyer window winders and door handles for the serious aussie tradey:)

maybe?

hey ben thanks for that. Mine is 75, so its later, good. We have just dropped our front end out, and i found a crack in my LHS Upper control arm. But in my case, i think it had a lot to do with rubbers were no longer there and over time movement created an oval hole instead of a round one. So much for the steering place giving me a report last time it had the rack done back in 2000. I have not got a pic of the hole and crack, when we pull it down to replace i will post a pic of the cracks and the oval hole. This pic shows the bush that is damaged.

Someone on here in another post asked what bushes i was putting in when i redo the suspension. Having looked at rubber, and having put polyurethene in an old 4x4 ute years ago, i am considering loosing all the rubber and going poly, i think they last longer, and colors look good. lol  ;D any opinions and advice would be appreciated. I've said it before but, this is going to be the last time i do my van, so want to use long lasting quality gear that will last.
George.

Was told some time back that the Beddy's built in Aus were being readied for V8's.
An older vanner I spoke to said they had planned to start fitting V8 as factory option, but did not get there, not sure why. Would have been a great thing. ! ;D

Big vans are BEAUTIFUL...

Yeah poly is softer than nylothane but there both very good up grades comes down to personal choice. I swear by nylothane my ss, my mums s pack and the beddy have all been fitted with nylothane now apart from some bushes but you do notice that with nylothane it gives you a more firm feel some people don't like that and opt for poly for a bit softer ride but from most reviews they both last for ages and nylothane gives 2 year 75 000 k warrenty on their parts from memory
No matter what condition a beddy crusing down the road will always get a long hard stare
