Well today....I finally got around to replacing the noisy electric fuelpump that has been in my truck since i bought it with the stock mechanical one. I bought a recon kit for it at the auto shop for about $19.00 and put it in. I stripped the pump down completely and was quite surprised how much crap was in it. It had been sitting around for a quite a while. For some reason the previous owner had turned the carby around and swapped the fuel lines across to the other side of the engine bay? :-\ so i had to swap them back and put the carby back the right way. ;D Now i have a beautiful quite pump and a much neater setup. Many thanks to Neil (Merlin) for the kind donation of the pump. :D ;D    cheers...johnno ...Keep those beddies going. ;D

guess it could have happened to any car.
ben

G'day
Mate that does happen to cars and trucks.
We pulled down a "seized" truck motor for the same problem. What was worse was when bolting the turbo back on a nut was dropped into the motor and we spent most of a day finding it.
Wasted the best part of a week.

Regards
The problem I have is that most of my stories end with... and that is why I am not allowed to go back there!

Yeah! Buy a house Doofhard; much more sensible.

I've been overhauling the front suspension of the Beddie. Explains a lot, as everything's stuffed, and pulling to the right under brakes, was the RHS wishbones twisting back!
All new balljoints and bushes, and new shocks coming up. Should pass a WOF after this, and then I can drive it without worrying about cops.

Well now that I'm on holiday at last, and xmas day out of the way, I started a list of things that i want/ need to do to the beddy. And now that I have finally found my box of old seat belts, I began with fitting seat belts for the rear seats. Will need to fabricate some brackets tomorrow, and to complete the job will need to remove several of the rear panels including the rear seats, will post photos in the gallery as I go.

Gotta love being on holiday so I can work on the beddy and get it ready for the next round of shows.

Cheers Jeff, Merry christmas and a beddy new year.
Just customize it!

My new/old bedford arrived today after being transported 966kms from its last home. In almost immaculate original condition. Father/son owned since 1980. Roof gutters have no rust!?!. Must have been garaged alot and/or rust proofed vey early. Worst rust is under passenger door bottom rubber but even that aint bad. All other doors have no rust and open and close perfectly. Even the windows wind super smooth. Flew thru last WOF. Last owner was gutted to have scrapped and dented the front left nose, and dented the lower back right corner. Will get those pulled out asap. Very, very happy to at last own a mint original CF 1 SWB

Hope all ahd a great Xmas and New Year!! Me....i've been working my patooshie off - i have finally seen the light with the new MAN CAVE (auuggg auuggg). This has been a couple of years in the planning and she's now almost finished. Basically i had the metal frame erected and the roof put on by someone else and the rest was done by yours truley!!

What a great learning experience and an awesome weight loss project. The pics are in my gallery in a new album aptly titled MAN CAVE.....the hoist was moved in today from the garage (which is now used for my everyday car...bout time) just a few more cosmetics and she's all done, just in time for me to go away on business on Sunday F**K!! cant even play. but at least i've got something to look forward to on my return at he end of Jan.

The green beast leaves home on Friday bound for the mechanics to implant the V6 while i'm away so thats also pretty good news - one step closer to the Nats (fingers crossed)

Anyhoo - thats about all i have to report - been great reading up on all of you characters over Xmas and checking in on the gossip when able.

I hope every one has an awesome 2010  -

cheers
