G'day

It probably was a bit nerdy  but it was a ball of fun that lasted all day.
One of my daughters as a IT expert and she has wanted to go for a few years so I made it happen.
The problem I have is that most of my stories end with... and that is why I am not allowed to go back there!

Woohoo! ;D

At 2.40pm this arvo, my neighbourhood was blessed with the roar of a 5.7L V8! They truely are a blessed bunch! I really do spoil them! ::)

It's the first time I've had enough wires in the van to start it since I decided it was time to replace the Statesman dash with the GTS one I had in waiting.

The old girl didn't burn to the ground which is a good start me thinks! ;)

I saw the tach work for the first time which was very exciting!

Tomorrow I'll check the wires to starter and see if they show any sign of melting (this is test 1). Next I'll solder up the head lights to these connectors I bought from Dick Smiths and see they can handle the current draw of the halogens. :P Fingures crossed!

Last week I dropped the tank straps off to get chromed ;D First time I dropped something in for chroming in like 17 years.

I might actually be able to drive out the drive way later next week. Just have to decide on whether I'm going to powder coat or 2pac the tank first? ??? Powder coat was my first choice but it is dinged up. :P

Well this week i drove my beddy yet another 1000km but also installed new shocks and new back tires. Ripped out an old rust repair that was done with fibre glass. Was leaking. And welded all up finished it all up with a tiny skim of filler and is sweet good. Cheers ben

I drilled the holes and run the wires for the headlights, indicators, reverse lights, air-con thermo fans, fuel tank sender, bonnet switch, alternator light and air-con clutch switch. I'll fit the passenger headlight today (if weather holds out). Got frustrated with trying to line up the drivers side headlight yesturday and so went and played Need for Speed most wanted. I'll try again today with some help from Lou now she's home again. can't work out why it wont line up propper? the tank is ready for pick up but have no cash, so it'll have to wait. Doh! :( But I'm not far off being able to put the dash back in. 8)
