I havnt posted anything for ages due to family and work commitments.
But Ive dumped the 253 and trimatic and put in a 308 red with turbo 400. extractors, 650 holley 2nd vac and high tourqe starter. Superformance at capalaba made me up a beautiful set of heads. Port and polished with big valves for unleaded with ls1 springs. new rocker gear. couldnt go rollers due to firewall clearance but should still be a nice cruiser. just waiting for my driveshaft now. next will be some air con for this frign heat. But still beats riding my pushbike everywhere.
All the best to you and yours this christmas. Drive safe.

cool:)

well the roller rockers that are on my fuely heads (1.6) are still using standard rocker covers.. you can see where they have hit the rocker covers but they work so if you were keen you could go them:)

Ok, have just about finished the roof , now sanded and P/filler, removed and replaced old t/lights , painted the old rear door hinge mounts/ door jams, fitted painted front grille and F/pan , acid washed/scraped windscreen, removed old mirror mounts, fitted engine cover & sealed, swapped seats out from me shorty, replaed seat belts, trimmed standard Beddie ddash and steering column , finished shifter mount/ assembly. Still to do.......weld up drivers (lwb panel) window, fit dash , fit rear door , sand and hopefully paint roof, fit new mirrors, find other # plate ???..go for test run, and fuel up........woooohhhooooo!!!! :-\
Can I go play now...?
