Hey Ben......the front of the bonnet had loads of rust in it.....i cut it out and simply bogged it as it will be coming straight off after rego....i managed to get it a little
straighter and am going to cover the vents with micro mesh that will cover some of your repair that i cant smooth out....will look good when finished.

yeh it had a big pimple where i weled that yellow section in. the first go i had at it it warped big time!! i then cut out a bigger section of all the warp and tryed to weld that in. well that was better but far from perfect. yeh good idea to chuck the bonnet.

what i didnt do was use a hammer and dolly wich i could have at least banged it down a bit so you could smooth it off with bog. ah well ya learn as ya go ay.

yeah Ben, it's hard when your not sure....but it's the only way to learn.....the passenger side door that has the peice welded in at the botom came up a treat....i was worried i might
not be able to get it smoothed in so i left it for last.....turned out to be the easiest.....there is allot to do below the front grill but i am not going to worry too much about trying to straighten
it as i will cut most of it out after i get it rego'd and graft the front spoiler in......looks like i am going to have to do some manipulation of the front gaurds to get the flares to fit but no
biggie....i think i am up to the task....if not i will get the panel guys to do it.

Cheers

Kimbo

well i fitted a chev 12 bolt to my van yesterday. listened to craig (wa) about angles and so on and man what a difference!!! wound the van up to 150 this morning. dont even notice im going fast cause there is no vibration at all!! so much nicer to drive now .

i came up with a theory that the reason why all my vans in the past have had vibrations are because the diff has been at the wrong angle, mainly because the springs sag and then the diff angle is put out.

cheers

Little done on the truck as i played 4 gigs at The Bridgetown Blues Festival last weekend.....my voice is in rehab
and my fingers are bleeding from playing too much guitar....what an awesome time we had though....got to play
in front of 1000's of people.....now i am away from home again in Bunbury so any planned work for the truck is back on the shelf.
Might get some time on the weekend.....fingers and all other bits crossed.
