G'day

I just spent a couple of days working in a Laboratory.
When I first started, the Manager warned me about the virus that was out of control in the Labs and how they had not been able to stop it. He was lamenting how far behind the work was. I noted that there were very few people to be seen. My heart was racing and I was looking for an exit as I didn't want to catch anything.
I finally realised he was only talking about a computer virus. Apparantly I was there to fix it but hadn't been told yet. He thought I had already been briefed.
The problem I have is that most of my stories end with... and that is why I am not allowed to go back there!

Well...Bit the bullet n rebuilt a newish Carby i had been given...

I have the Weber running on my Blue 202.....found out there are a few different types

I had the XE falcon carby ADM 34..

.my mate gave me a XF falcon carby (an unleaded version) ADM 34 1 C

there are numbers stamped on the carby  the side of the block

XE version has needs 3 sources of power..... choke, fuel miser n other one at front...

XF version needs 2 sources of power....choke, fuel miser

One of the problems is sourcing an air cleaner adapter...first i made one...

then on another thread A BUGA member..has made some up

I have used one from another car...it fits perfectly!!

PM if u wanna know the model.....(I dont want to upset anyone)

otherwise the BUGA member has some other great one for sale

LOve the WEBER!

Hi Guys...I called in and saw a fellow who has a swb van that he has done alot of work to .(the number plates are FAT CF) anyway he is running a holden salsbury diff in it but it looked just as wide as the standard beddi diff. Now, anyone who has a holden diff in their beddi knows that unless you are running big deep dished rims on the back ,the vehicle has that "narrow arse end" look. So i asked him how he got around that problem and he showed me the adapters that he bought from a wheel shop here in perth (Mr Mag). These are made out of billet aluminium, and this is how they work...After you have taken your wheel off ,you can then slide these adapters on.They are about 3" wide and they have wheel stud holes in them that slide over the excisting studs (he had hq pattern) you then bolt that on using your original wheel nuts. It then has a new set of studs drilled into the gaps between the first set of studs .These new ones were hq as well, you then fit you mag wheel onto these and do up with another set of wheel nuts. Each wheel utilizes 10 wheel nuts! And unless you were told you would not pick it. Remember he only needed 2 of these adapters for the rear ,as the front wheels aren't a drama. Simple idea and filled out his guards spot on.  ;D  cheers...johnno
