well we have been busy
we removed the damaged front end and straightened the door pillar it had moved 16mm in the crash
we cut  the new guard to shape and welded it into place
primed the inner guard with rust proofing black enamel
then we started striipping the seams and gutters to remove the old rust luckily most of it was only surface rust and finished by cleaning it with a chemical that disolves rust
re filled along seams and sanded smooth
removed the sunroof, now that was an effort it had leaked in the past so the past owners had just kept applying glue, silicone, silastic and anything else they could find

with the new guard on and the seams done we should have been ready for painting already but cant find a front apron so unfortunalty she is still sittning in the shed and may not make the van nats....
I then got so sick of it just sitting there i was seriously thinking about putting her on ebay and moving onto another project , but the wife has told me to wait another couple of weeks and see how it pans out. but if all else fails keep your eyes on ebay
ah well thats the way the cookie crumbles .but it has been fun so far Bedfords were sent to test us I think

i popped a wheel cyliner out today.. hmmmm cant wait for no drums..

any way it was an instant after i saw a beddy swb truck parked in someones driveway in longwarry vic and slammed on the brakes cause i was so excited.. i went and meet the couple.. apparently it had been a milk truck or something. got a few pics too but shoulda taken more..

of interest to me was his supra 5 speed (the shifting linkage being a cab), hydrolic clutch

anyway i told the bloke about my situation and guess what he gave me the best tip ever!!! clamp the brake line with some vice grips and drive home on front brakes. fix it when you get home with all your tools and no 33 degree heat!!!

man i was like far out wish i had have known that the other times!!! thats flippen brilliant..

also told me its great for doing burn outs.. hehe no back brakes hehehehe now that sounds like the go.. and everyone wonders why im still got all these original diffs laying around the place.........

one day one day.. when i get a little more setup.. black beddy on youtube covered in smoke.. that will be the day......

anyway made it home again..
