Hey guys,  i need some help trying to locate something. As some know i have a bobcat, what i am looking for is a slasher / mower attachment for my cat, here is a pic. Now i have found them in victoria for around $4000, new, not a bad price, if it was going to get used more then maybe twice a year. For reasons i now know, hire companies will not hire them, so that is out. If someone knows of a 2nd hand one that is in good nick for sale.
Reason for getting one is that this year we have had a massive amount of rain, 90mm just in april  alone, which meant the grass got out of control, so my neighbour came down with his slasher and started to slash, but what he has cut will be back up again before he finishers. So i am looking for one to go on the cat and i can do it whenever it is needed.  Thanks guys.

id just buy the hydrolic motor and make your own George.

or build a cutting deck to fit the bobcat and fit itwith a  21hp motor with long control cables, throttle controls  and keystrart  that reach into the cab.

ive thought of buying a suzuki seirra 4x4 and making a 3 blade cutting deck to mount underneath it, and power it with its own 21hp briggs n stratton elec start motor,
its still on the drawing board at the moment though.

cutting deck sorta like this

My neighbours  tractor / slasher is parked out back but being an amputee, um bucklys of jumping that high. As for building one, same thing. Hiring one would be the go, short of that one a bit cheaper then $4000, second hand one would be ideal.

bloody good idea, I slashed mine just over a month ago and its nealy back. You should be able to claim it on tax.
As my dopey brother said, "Just concrete it and paint it green"
make it reliable, or smash it with a big hammer

G'day

I just got back from traveling around outback NSW installing Cisco Switches and Routers. I clocked up a lot of miles and saw a lot of towns. I only have about 8 more installs to go on this contract then I can play for a while.
The problem I have is that most of my stories end with... and that is why I am not allowed to go back there!

Have just started to restore a set of mags for my daughters first car. ;D I am just polishing the outer edge then painting the centres ::)
I was pleasantly surprised how good the edge came up. I started off with 120 grit wet and dry then 320,then 800,then lastly 1200 grit and finished of with some magical cream which Craig (Obsession) put me onto. 7.5 hrs sanding :-\ :-\

Looks like it works good, I've allways used purple polish as all the truckies use it to give their tanks a mirror finish
Happy to be living past my "use by date" I was given 6-12 months to live in August 2007

That looks awesome did you polish by hand or use the speed ball attachment for the drill?
No matter what condition a beddy crusing down the road will always get a long hard stare

All by hand Jason :-\ :-\ because there is very little room where the spokes meet the outer rim for the polishing foam ball.It would of shredded it in no time :-[ :-[
