Reid, have a look at the 'previous gas setup' that sat about 2 inches higher than the quadrajet, i also had a different snorkel setup that sat lower again. The problem with both of those setups is that the gas carb is further away from the intake manifold which reduces throttle response, as well as both of the previous setups had a restriction, one more extreme than the other, but there all the same.
I do have other plans in mind to reduce the height of this setup, however then the width of the setup becomes an issue.. straight gas would be an easy option, however i like dual fuel. Plus I love the induction sound with the filter right next to me.
I'd get a photo of the old setup on the motor for you, but i dont see myself removing this setup again in the near future, im loving the drivability.

Craig, i've always thought those to be more marketing hype than actual usability. I am extremely impressed with the results, I'm going to have to invest

Well spent yesterday building a set of aluminium bifold doors for our front door foyer, remember my pussy kept escaping and getting outside, and she almost died from 2 ticks, well we now have the bifolds done, so we close off the foyer b4 we open the front dooor to go out. She is not a happy pussy, but i am stoked. Stress levels gone. lol.

Fun and games, my zero turn mower copped a flat tyre, well there was no punture, being tubless we suspect there may be a design fault with the rim, i found the mower sitting on its rim. So i had a tube put in, went down the next morning to put the wheel back on, and found the tube had a hole in it the size of a fist, for some reason the tube exploded, blew the tyre off the rim, so sent the rim / tyre down to the mower place, they sent it off to the manufacturer, they gave me a new rim and tyre, kept mine to run some tests on it and try and solve mystery. I suspect the beadlock is not sealing.
But i still recon it is an awesome mower, almost done with the modifications, have my new trailer, just doing a tow hitch for the mower, and i will post the pics of all the mods.
