Hi all,  yes have travelled south to country Victoria, didn't realise how cold it was :-( ,   loaded the beddie up with tools, and important mechanicals, V6 motor and gearbox, had to take the gearbox out and leave till next time,  the springs weren,t very straight  lol.  Had a good run and the beddie sat on the road beautifully never missed a beat.   Started to make the new sump for the V6 transplant, a vanning mate gave me a couple of sumps to chop up and alter, thats it this stage.
Nothing is impossible it just takes a bit longer

g/day

havnt been on for a while,
im presently rebuilding a LWB Bedford for a mate.
was going to cost him $1500 for sandblasting.
anyway to cut a long story short ive bought a complete sandblasting buisness.
huge diesel compressor towable, hopper and all hoses n gear.
will be able to blast my FJ Holden, WB 1 Tonner, trailers, garden tools etc  myself now.
will do special deals for buga members as well.

here,s some pictures of the LWB rebuild so far.
this van will be for sale when finnished, will be a back to bare metal respray finished in primer for the new owners choice of colour.
its 1 tuff LWB VAN, custom dash, captain seatbases, suspensions all rebuilt, will be a great buy.
will keep you posted on its progress over the next few months.
doors, bonnet are finished just waiting for good dry weather to blast n paint body now.

its a LWB 253v8 ,auto, chev 12bolt diff, great flare kit etc, body hasnt got a great deal of rust, pictures dont do it justice, its fishoiled to the hilt, and redleaded under old paint, thats the brown discolouring seen as old paint is peeling off , see pictures....

and a few of FJ Holden

cheers marty

p.s. ozconvict i havnt forgotten about those mirrors you wanted, will be fiberglassing soon, within next few months. :)

Awesome looking van, hope you document it with pics for all to see. I have some Qs though, what is that opening for between the cargo and front door, looks like a gullwing door. And that antenna on the roof, i am trying to find one, what is it ? TV or Radio ?

Hey guys, please dont shoot me, i have put my van on hold till next year now, i am catching up on a lot of overdue jobs that crop up on rural properties. What have i been up to, well my wife took off , went to italy and greece, and yep due back in a few days, she did'nt leave me as such, lol. So while she has been gone i have built some retaining walls, built some new steps out back, the old ones were rotted out, have been in the workshop welding up some small jobs.

A couple of weeks ago a sales rep came over with a prototype zero turn mower, and yep i did take it for a spin, 42" deck, 20HP B&S motor, twin fuel tanks, and it's all handcontrolled, no mods, and this thing flys. 4 acres, me and speed and you have FUN, i went beserk, so much so that i have put my name down b4 the first one comes off the assembly line, i am getting the first one in qld, thats how rapped i was with it. As soon as i take delivery early next month, i will get some pics, and i may just convince my wife to shoot some video of me ripping around the property, after she gets over the shock, lol. This thing leaves my old ride on for dead, CAN'T wait, counting down the days.

Ok could of, should of spent the money on the beddy, but it was giving me the s***s not being able to get out and do the lawns when i want to, it was getting harder to climb up onto the ride on, the zero calls for no climbing. Easy as. I will be out every weekend mowing now. lol

me, managed to put a ply floor in Borrie and carpeted with all the trims etc being alli (on the door sills etc) .... pics later,
Took the ol girl for a super cruise to Rocking ham to give Craig and Neil a hard time..... succeeded.
Man it feels sssoooooo good to get behind the wheel of a beddie as its been ssoooo long and not to mention a chev 350 with a brand new TH350 with stage two and a B&M shifter, man I twas a naughty boy !!!!! still can't believe how many people love em , got all the praise and looks as you cruise past , it will be sad to see it go.
Dan

Craig.....did you get a pic of Borrie at Neils?
