What a fortnight, well my tail lights are no longer. We spent a whole day cutting templates and steel trying to get these lights to work, no luck. After 7hours and oxy and a nice big hole where the left light should be, i shelved them. The problem was the shape of the body of the light, if i had of reshaped the van it would of looked like crap. So after some prodding by my sheet metal guy, he showed me some lights he is using on a race car he is building in his shop, the size and shape is a good fit, but the colours are all wrong, to me it looks like the designer just got 2 lights from 2 different cars and joined them. So i am going to use them, but to satisfy my pickiness, i will have to get a plastic repairer to cut the front out of one [very red] and weld a new piece of euro clear in there to match the other side of the light.

So instead of the back getting done, we moved to the fuel filler on the RHS, now that was a lot more sucessful, so i now have duel fuel tanks in my van, still need to slice and dice the tanks to fit the new pipes and filler, but that will be going out to my mate at redcliff.
I also went and raided the wreckers and got a heap of bits so that i can graft them into the new dash and consoles. Got my wiper motors so that they can plug into the new steering column harness.

My cruiser was due for rego last week, but either qld trans- forgot to send the renewals out or the post lost them, so i have had to empty my van build account
so that i can pay my  rego, had about 15mins to find a $1000 and pay it b4 it was out of rego, what a mess, so no work on the van now till i get paid again.

Need to get my new wheel and tyre next pay so that we can start on the flares in the next few weeks. I am getting one to start with, make sure it will look good, and use it to mock up flares, if i am happy, then i will get a full set.
george.

nice one kimme shes comin together.

I had a very sucky but intresting day

1.thought id get to work on the van ,took the gard off me compressor so wasnt all ratly for the neibours
kids came in and asked me to pump up thir bike tyres ,sure i says walk over pump up the tyres watch them ride off to the park
wapppp wappp wappp air line cought in belt of compressor.........
twisted my ankle getting to it.   :-\

2. sulked and chucked a pattie at myself.......
thought id do better if i took the kids to the movies loaded the three and the missus into her xr6 and wenmt to a packed carousel........
mistake!!!  spent 30min lookin for a car space

3.Then I really f up, Im sic and tired of being polite to people who are rude to me and I MADE A BIG MISTAKE I let the day get to me I followed a guy in the parking lot he says to me im leaving mate you can have my spot- Beauty I says and put my indicator on and followed him. In the other direction a commodore was coming head on the driver and I made eye contact and as the other bloke reversed his car the commodore sped in.......
I got otta my car walked up and tapped on the guys window" Thats a bit rude mate i think you should move", he says sorry and reverses back, but dosnt reverse out just drives in , I turn around calmly walk back to his car Ripped his keys out and tossed them 2 meters away.
I REALLY wanted just to drop a right hook through the window but not infront of my kids.

I must be getting old ,but i felt better when the bloke behind me said to me that i was a better man than him cause hed a let rip.
4.got home late cause after the film we lost our 16yr old daughter in the crown then I gets home to watch my beloved eagles well I got the times mixed up and missed almost the entire game!!!!!!
and they won one.

I should have just stayed on the beddy.....
