trimatic 3 spd convertion to Aussie 4spd M22

Hi guys,

Ive got a 202 3spd auto and im having issues with the shifting of gears and Hi revs. Does anyone have advice in regards converting to 4spd? would a Aussie 4spd M22 fit?

Hi Sam Your not going to solve the high revs with a 4 speed you will need a 5 speed overdrive box or change the diff ratio Plenty off info in the forum section Cheers Reid

on the same subject...is the flywheel clutch and preasure plate the same...

3 & 4spd ausies share the same flywheel/clutch& pressure plate it depends on which 5 spd you are using as to what clutch/pressure plate you need and the auto uses a flex plate  ;D ;D ;)   Cheers merlin

Yeah ive only heard of M20 and M21.
When converting from auto to manual dont forget to put the spigot bush in the end of the crankshaft.
The 4 speed ausie gearbox needs this.
The auto has a large round center on the torque convertor that slips into the crankshaft, where the manual gearbox has a thinner spigot shaft.
