You have a few options:

* Have your original bedford diff modified with a borg warner centre with the ratio of your choice
* Ask around for a 'highway diff' someone might have a bedford one already modified FOR SALE
* Fit a diff from a Ford F series truck or a Ford Galaxie

What gearbox are you running? Trimatic? You could swap it for a 5 speed box or a T700 auto with overdrive.
Lots of options? How much do you want to spend? Welcome!

Welcome Tango as Jock has said there are lots of options just depends on how much you can afford to pay!

Where are you located?

Cheers

Having a diff made professionally will cost around $2000 with a BW centre,
second hand ones go for $300 up but you don't know if it was made by an idiot in his back yard (like the one i threw away) or by a competent person

hey is it a lwb or a swb? 9 inch drums or 10 inch drums?

hey worzel what size drums are yours on the back of your van..

because i discovered the other day that there are 2 different axels for the swb. 9 inch drums and 10 inch drums have different axels..

one is 20 spline and other is 25 spine. cant rememebr which one now thou. have to have another look in case anyone needs to know.

if its a duel wheeler your looking at much more expense..  chatting to a bloke the other day saying he got a guy to do a good deal on a 9 inch modifyed for his bedford diff and cost him $4,500!! that was supposed to be a good deal.

reason being axels splines didnt match.. so needed parts manufactured..

i wonder if the borg wagner centres came out with both 20 and 25 spline? anyone know? because i have both hwy diffs with 20 spline and 25 spline and just wondering which one cost em a packet! and which one cost similar to worzels..

cheers
ben

y'know, i've never looked.
When i had the diff made i didn't know there were two options in the axle.I do need to get to know my diff better, it's a BW centre with bedford axles and holden drums, i put the drums on from the old axle but didn't look to closely
I think the way they mate a beddy axle with a BW diff is to broach the (borg-warner) planetary gears that the axle slide into to the borg-warner pattern.

They need to be heat treated afterward, and i can point you to a guy in melbourne (way south melbourne) who has been doing it scince the seventies.
Some of the dodgy ones did things like cutting the axles and welding them togeather.

oh you think your running holden brakes worzel? you sure? it would be a fair bit of work to fit holden drums with no real gain much.. id say you have beddy brakes.. just holden stud pattern..

I got a hz ute diff with a 3.08 ratio for $300 at the wreckers. You cut the leaf spring mount and the shockymount off the old one. The shockie mount goes on the inside of the beam thingy instead of the out.(pics in my gallery). Another $170 for the mobile engineers to weld it in. I tacked it where I wanted it to go to save time. It fits standard offset 10 inch hq mags but really needs a bigger wheel in there. Just make sure you get the brake line valve for even braking front and back. Then blue plated which wasnt a drama.
