sorry guys don't reckon it ever was has been or could be a ca bedford!
To long, to round at the front around windscreen, windscreen is rounded, wrong body line, no pug nose between those 58 plymouth fury headlights etc etc
Looks more early european??

not trying to be smart but england is a part of great britan, this is a apart of europe, just not a part of the mainland of europe...

I hope this doesn't start one big BUGA of a debate.

also in another topic the p76 was mentioned. the engine was formerly a buick motor.

maybe this was another option for the english, cheaper parts and so from america and turned into a bedford which when it came to australia was gm based running gear???
maybe coincidence or maybe the ties go way back??

fun fun

Cheers
Ben

Ben don't forget Malta is/was part of the Commonwealth. It was also an important part of the Mediterranean to Britain in the cold war era and WW2. So don't discount the pommy link.

yeah i wasnt heading down the path of  removing the english out, just where some of the ideas and or parts may have originated from.

and i/we might learn something from the responses we get

also there is nothing quite like a good debate

While doing the search for CA/CF Beddys I found this on Flicker...Apparently its a Bedford from Malta...I zoomed right in on the grill area and it does indeed look like Bedford badging above the grill...Its so different and funky looking..I Want One,lol
It kinda looks like 'Christine' the killer Beddy..Hahaha ;D
(Note: this is NOT one of my photo-chop jobs!)

yeah, thats what came 2 mind straight away, looked like its ready to eat something, lol, transit muncher 4 sure.

OK ,I had a bit of a play with the pic, not too much cos its wild enuf as is..Just lowered it,added some big rims and touched up the paint and fixed some of the missing trim...I did try a chopped version, but it looked terrible,it doesnt need it,lol....
