locking fuel cap
« on: May 18, 2014, 11:01:54 AM »
Have been searching through the site but can"t find any info and have searched the TRIDON site with no luck. I need a locking fuel cap it"s 100mm across & the centre is about 50mm anyone know of one or something from another vehicle that might fit.  ???

I'd love to know too!

I bought one ages ago from ebay.co.uk, but wasn't even close to fitting- not sure if I've got an original size cap/neck combo as Bessie is well camper&custimised already.

I'll take some measurements of the one I bought next time I'm at the shop, and if it fits, its yours if you want it!

Al

I think I found a CPC unit for van a few years back but when I got new van decided I wanted to eliminate the big cap look so had the cover in below link grafted into panel and looks a treat.

Yeh Dano been a little busy when I could get time away from work. I tried for months to get the whole fuel door and filler of a wreck from both wreckers and gumtree but no one would let me cut it out of panel so had to look at other options and found the one in above link. Cost was $140 delivered with a spare push thru cap and I fitted the breather pipe to the supplied filler pipe. The door is a little small which is why you need the push thru cap as it would be a bitch trying to remove the cap at each refill and cap also secures filler pipe to the body. Overall very happy with it and it blends in very well.
Cheers Greg
