been a while since an update as I have had some health issues its been slow going the other week I went out to the Biggenden car show which was good but scored a stone through the radiator on the way home which elevated the fitting of mesh in all the front holes to prevent this from happening again [ I hope] in the process stripping back the grill and a few other bits to bare metal and painting I have gone black atm till I choose the final colour the grill may stay black yet , I have also made up a bonnet release from in the cab. more picks to follow when I get the radiator back hopefully tomorrow :-)

seems the original colour was yellow ;-)
and I have found a couple of pinky decorations lol

also had a 9inch diff fitted a while ago with a 3 ratio centre and a v8 tail shaft instead of the 6 cylinder one that was on it

looking good  - the grill guard sound like a good idea, what did you use for the bonnet latch?

Hi, Do you have any details on how the motor is fitted? I am looking at the same thing and going through the forum there seems to be a number of different methods.

what do you need to know as you need to drop the front end out which makes it very easy to do , I had use of a hoist but lifting the van off is easy enough with a block & tackle . http://www.buga.com.au/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=7139.0;attach=15161;image you will probally have to alter your sump.
what motor are you using as a 350 chev is narrower than the 308/253 I have so less floor will need to be cut out

here is a pic of the floor altered we put a channel in for the engine cover and a v section underneath for strength and another view of the motor on the front end and sump modification which is disappointing as I was hopeing to use the new sump I had rather than the butchered one

Like the photos, I have a 253. I know there wider but its what I have. The engine mounts and how its mounted is of interest to me.
