a trimatic bell housing will be flat across the top, and the 304 bellhousing has a pointed top. and I believe some of the bolt holes are totally in the wrong spot.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

ok these bell housings are not the right one for the gearbox size but they clearly show the difference in the engine side of the bell housing.

have labelled them as

304 = VN V8 onwards (might include VL also)

308 = 253/308 older motors.
No matter what the question is, the answer is always more horsepower!

T700 has the same spline yoke as a trimatic, but it will be a fair bit longer so tailshaft and gearbox crossmember are going to be an issue.

if you are going to do it, I'd recommend getting a commodore tailshaft made to the right length, the uni joints and yoke are a fairly strong unit and probably going to be easier to get parts for down the track if you ever need to.

I bought it to fit behind the inline 6.  Came out of a running VP V6.  Looks to have a record torque converter as it is that pretty green/blue colour that they paint them when they reco them. Never got around to trying it out though

Am open to offers as I am just tripping over it and I am just over it  :D :D
Will swap for beddie bits (or a carton) whatever takes your fancy. ::)
PM me and we'll talk but cannot ship as too big  ;D

The V6 gearbox fitted up to the original mount Trimatic and beddie cross member if that's any help
