id love to run 2 tanks.. would never put one inside! got one behind the diff at moment but have not worked out a way of putting in another normal tank anywhere else underneath without modifying the chassis rails..

if anyone figures anything out let me know.. ive been under my van with a tape measure like 20 times..

What's the problem with mounting them inside the van? Do gas tanks blow up regularly do they?
I don't know a lot about the topic but I am thinking of mounting a 90-100 litre tank behind the
driver or passenger side. I am going to put 2 fold down single beds that fold up to the sides of the
van. When they fold down one bed will rest on the box that is housing that gas tank and the other
bed will rest on a box exactly the same as the tank cover that will be used for storage.

Apart from taking up cabin space, what is the problem with mounting them inside?
Certified, engineered gas assemblies are not designed to blow up - are they?

Yeah I think for Ben it's just cabin space.  It's either loaded with Jukeboxes or Bedford bits

Jock

Gas tanks are actually safer than petrol ones, in most cases it is a space issue with them inside the cabin

Have a look at the "scuba" style tanks as a replacement for the petrol tank.

Thes have a smaller diameter and should fit where the petrol tank is.

I used to be vague..................Now I'm not so sure

Hi guyes yeah I got the tape out today & you could get a 900 x 250 gas tank on eather side between the chasis rail & the rocker rail iff they made one's that size dont know how much they would hold other than that thoe's scuba tanks look the goods they couldnt be any bigger diameter than 150 mm or they would hang too low but you could put another set on the other side if you moved the battery box mine dosent have a battery box because there was a water tank there There's nothing illeagle about tanks inside as long as there vented to the outside it's just the thought of sleeping on 200 ltrs of gas cheers Reid
