well after being bedford free for a couple of years now,
playing with an old v6 uc sunbird instead,  I decided it wasn't quite.. vanny enough  ;D.. introducing bedford number 3. Just a side doorless and windowless 78' with an ld28 and auto.

Welcome back Eric. When I saw your new van on TradeMe a few weeks back I thought it looked like a good deal. Not many vans around now that haven't been fitted with windows. The LD28 conversion gives you a measure of reliability and economy that the old slant 4 will never match. All the best with your new toy. Cheers Gordon

Well, it is a bedford     ::) not too much in the way of live rust, just needs a couply patches in one of the rear arches and one in the front doorframe, I'm sure I'll discover more though! Managed to re hang the front doors as they were on there pretty rough.. my back doors are toast, bit of a mystery looks like they've been stoved in at some point and then 'sculpted' out of bog which is cracking with age, so I'll be keeping eyes open for a new pair, there's a guy here in hamilton who makes all the glass flares,  doors etc but id prefer some real ones as I prefer the look, if not the racket they make!

ahhh ok good she didnt have heaps of rust...i've got a good set of back doors sitting in shed....one has a tiny spot of rust...we replaced them with a fiberglass door that lifts up...so much quieter...now just got the rattles of the sliding doors  ::)
well enjoy ur beddy  :D
Cheers Wendy & Ray

If you get some crazy fool honking and waving at you in the van, it might be me as am moving down Hamilton. Not taking my vans though
There are so many people out there who will tell you that you can't. What you've got to do is turn around and say "watch me"
