tail light lens and...
« on: December 14, 2008, 09:31:49 AM »
Hi all,
Just wondering if any one near Melbourne has a good tail light lens, (no cracks) and a standard steering wheel (no cracks) to buy or borrow so I can get my Beddy through roadworthy.....
                                                                               cheers (phot)Ol'

hey the original beddie steering wheels are metal inside.
So if the out side is cracked use some plasti bond and repair the cracks
lightly sand it back and re-paint the whole thing, you wont even be able to tell.

Hey thanks Eddy, since posting I,ve had a couple of other leads, trying to catch up with a local beddy owner and going to Bendigo tomorrow, try to find the wreckers in Eaglehawk  that apparently has twelve beddies( I'm sure I've seen a posting about it)......failing that I,ll have a go at the plastic bog idea  or come out and visit you.....I like meeting Bedford owners.....

yep, I'm in Daylesford, Central Vic.......

And Chris is Santa alright.........

hey Eddy,
thanks for your offer, but I found a tail light lens today at Midland truck wreckers in Bendigo, I think he saw me coming as it cost me $50, but given I don't have to do any more chasing around I figured it was worth it also got a original steering boss and indicator return thingy for another $20 so I'm going to have a go at gluing it up as toolking suggested although general opinion seems to favour the use of Areldite......thanks again.....another step closer to RWC
