I suppose I should have done this earlier but.. anyway here's my tale. I'm 47, live in Melbourne married with 4 kids. My daily drive is a 99 Prado, oh so comfy!!, I have a 76 CF Tray that will get done soon? The plan is V6 Twin Turbo's T700 auto 9" Diff HSV 330mm Front rotor 315 mm rears 18x8 HSV Senator rims Commodore dash. I have been accumulating the required parts for 6 months or so. just picked up another 9" housing to cut up. Also have a 73 Mini GT to resto. Just sold my 2 Fargos and 2 Prefect utes as I didn't have the time to resto them. Trail bikes, off road karts and a 20' ski boat with a 455ci Olds engine with a Ski Jet jet unit.

I'm a mechanic by trade and have worked in dealerships, private workshops and for my self. I have been a Service Manager a 3 Dealerships but got sick of the hassles of the job and staff.

I have an interest in computers and have a small home based business repairing them.

At present I own a 800sq foot factory that has my good stuff in but I'm also renting 2 more of the factories in the complex to hide.. house my ebay excesses form the missus. lol

I started working on CF's back in 78 as an apprentice and always wanted one but it was never the right time for it. I found my tray on ebay paid $1k with 10m reg, hey Ben not bad hey, drove it to  the factory where it has sat waiting for me to give it some TLC.

the next beddie was an old ski and drive van with 202 (it was free)
pitty it wasnt free of rust
i got the van in my avi about a year ago (free)
3.5 rover v8 with rover rear end ( inboard disks )

Well, my name is Gabriel I'm 36 with a 9yo son. I live in the Northern Rivers on the north Coast of NSW. My partner Lou and I have only owned our van for just over 2 years which we bought off a friend because it was hot pink  . It's a 1974 LWB, high roof windowless (apart from the custom sidies) chevy powered love muscle. This is my third Bedford and by far my favorite!  I have always been in love with vans and bikes. I always looked for movies with vans in them as a kid and own a few old CV&T mags and the first issue of Vantasy with Mystik Fantasy on the cover.

I'm a Dj (yes I play records and no I don't play requests! lol just lokes!), an Event Production Co-ordinator and a licensed scaffolder and Rigger. Lou is an areobics instructor and is also studying to be a teacher. We didn't make it to this years Van Nats because our new box wasn't ready, but we're on a mission to make it to the next one in Melbourne. We're hoping to get our new gearbox installed in October so we can then get on with finishing the interior.

I also own a 1976 XC GXL Faimont sedan, a 1977 Z650 and hopefully oneday if I'm good (fat chance) I'll also own myself a Shovelnose with extended forks!

im 38 bought my  1976 banana back bedford in melb in feb 08 drove it back to sydney with no brakes (lol) and as of this sunday it goes to the painter to be stripped back to its bare shell and re-construct her the way i want it the things i have replaced so far is rebuilt the whole front end inc custom brakes with new hubs to suit the six stud rims  vl group-a calipers and now she stops with a load on the back as for running gear its a std 307 chev very tired but i have got now for her is another 307 with 4 bolt caps  with 350 steel crack new rods and 30thou oversized pistons fullie double bumps that have been ported stainless steel vavles also have the turbo 400 and nine inch diff rear with duel rims on the rear .

Welcome to the board Tony.
To the best of my knowledge, you are the first person in the world to fit front disc brakes to a dual wheel CF.
Could you please put a post up somewhere about how this was done, with a photo  or two.
Lots of people will be interested.

Why is it so strange to fit front disc brakes to a dually?  I'd be guessing but I think mine was a dual rear end the only reson I think this is because of the amount of room in the rear.
