Torana Wheels
« on: November 30, 2008, 11:53:28 AM »
Hey - Looking at a set of Early Holden (EH) wheels (Off a Torana) with 5 star stud. (Not hq or wb). Back 9.25 and front 8.  Will they fit my standard 1971 Bedford Van?

hey maymann your van is definatly not standard!! do you know what stud pattern your current wheels are? holden hq -z or are they ford??

either way those wheels wont fit without a lot of modifying (expensive) probably be cheaper to buy them new in the right stud pattern.

Thanks for your prompt reply guys. I was talking to a mate & he thinks because it has the Chev 12 bolt diff - it would probably be something like Holden HQ stud pattern. I'll go & try a set on first to see if they fit. After something a bit wider to fill the space with the new flares.
Thanks again.
Cheers!
Glenn

Hey Mayman, if you want to widen the wheelbase and get mags to fit, why not look at the adaptors that were posted on hers about two weeks ago.
benefit is they will make the wheels sit out a little wider and fill the flares
but you will also be able to get them in any stud pattern you want
so you can convert to any mags you want to buy
